Saturday you shal head to a random pub in Neuköln and grind your ass away on power ballads and stadium house hits. It’s Arm&Sexy with DJ’s Roleximus and DD5050.
Sunday “It’s the London bus syndrome: you wait for one for hours and then five turn up…” Meaning the Horse Meat Disco at club Tape with Jim Stanton (Horse Meat Disco London) Severino (Horse Meat Disco London) Partok (PAG-Tel Aviv) Marc Miroir (PAG-Berlin).
Can’t miss these!

I’ve lived now two and a half months in Columbus, Ohio and today I bought my 80th record from here. Good god… So to celebrate this milestone I decided to post a record I bought from Turku, Finland over a year ago. This is one of those tunes that people always ask about, you know, “what’s this?”, “is this French?”. Weird but fun!

My dear friend Aaro DiCosta sent me yesterday his and Average Hombre’s new collaborative track and I immediately wanted to publish it here. I can’t remember other track that has at the same time traces from italo, nu-disco, nu-house and 80’s funk mixed with soulful autotune vocals. Average Hombre has earlier been active in the Finnish psy-trance scene as the other half of the duo called “Lemon Slide” and Aaro is a free radical who has experimented with lots of different sounds and genres. What else can I say? This is a juicy piece of good shit!

The blog has been quite inactive but we’re still alive! It’s like Finnish summer here in Columbus, Ohio (17 degrees celsius!) so I thought to post something hot and spicy. This tune is from Sezen Aksu’s CD “Gülümse” from 1991 and it’s still as fresh as kebab in Berlin (so I’ve heard). My mom bought this record from Turkey when we were there back in the day and ever since this tune has delighted my soul. Another reason why moms are awesome.

The blog was down for few days (my bad) and there’s been very little anything happening here in 2010 (my bad). Now that the weather is mildening up and you don’t immediately die when stepping out of the door , its soon time for the long anticipated redesign (liar) and new mixes.
If gods an Kyösti allows; tune up tomorrow for a live stream from my house at our B-home exhibition starting around 20-21.
Yours
Hiljá
